Our school Cross Country Club, led by Mr Wilson, started up again this morning with a huge group of enthusiastic P6s who joined the more experienced runners of P7. The club meets every Wednesday morning (8am) at Braidburn Vally Park. Following a quick warm-up session everyone sets off for a run along the Braid burn and back. The children are then escorted back to school together in time for the beginning of the school day.
Harris, P7C, shared some thoughts about being part of the Cross Country Club:
“I like going because it is good exercise in the morning, and then you feel more refreshed when you start your school day. I would recommend this to any of the P6 or P7 pupils. Any body could come because you can go at whatever pace you like. Even if you do a ton of clubs during the week, you should try it out!
It’s just a nice wee jog, it’s fun and you can have a chat with your friends while you are running…”
