To round off our topic on Robert Louis Stevenson, P3 are having two special events this Tuesday. We are going to visit the grave of RLS’s nurse, Cummie (Alison Cunningham), in the morning. In the afternoon, we have our Pirate Party – pirate food, games, stories and even a treasure hunt. Watch this space for photos of the festivities!
Thank you for all the amazing hard work on our resilience homework – our classrooms are over-run with worry monsters. Mrs Ferguson will be leading the P3/4 assembly on Friday where the children will share what they have learned during the “Talk Things Over” unit.
Please could all parents/carers and children remember to make sure that everyone has their homework bag with them every day, complete with reading book and homework jotter/reading diary. On Fridays, they also need to have their spelling jotter with them as this is where they will do their weekly spelling check (which will also allow you to see how they’ve got on when it comes home again on Friday or Monday).
Another wee reminder – don’t forget to send your child’s house t-shirt back into school.
This week’s homework:
- Reading – See the homework/reading diary/jotter for details.
- Spelling – Please learn this week’s spelling pattern and, in your jotter, complete a spelling activity from the grid.
- Maths – This week in class we are learning our 10 and 5 times tables. Please use this game to practise this (Times Tables – 10x table or 5x – Hit the answer/Hit the question).
And the child-friendly weekly plan:
