Busy bees in Nursery

Hope you all enjoyed the February break. January went so fast and the nursery was very busy. We had a lovely time celebrating Scots week and everyone did really well reciting their Scots poems and singing their Scots songs. The children in the morning class also had a lot of fun with the recent snow and we had some exciting letters and sounds lessons as a result. We practised recognising the letters in our name and made some silly tongue twisters using the first letter of our name. We then took this outdoors and hid names  in different areas outside and then practised using these names to make tongue twister sentences. It was a lot of fun and the children used a lot of different and interesting vocabulary. We have also been very lucky to have more children join us in the afternoon class. It has been so nice and there has been lovely trips to the library as well as some super valentines baking. We are looking forward to another busy term and  a good first week back.
