This will be the last week of “proper” work in P3. Next week we will be finishing off, clearing up, having the whole-school assembly and having some end of term fun.
We hope that as many as possible of our parents/carers will be able to come along to see some of the work we have been doing with NYCoS (National Youth Choir of Scotland) this Wednesday, 20th June. Here are the times for each class:
- 3C – 9:10 – 9:40
- 3B – 9:50 – 10:20
- 3A – 11:00 – 11:30
P3A are measuring weight and volume this week – see previous blogs for links to games to reinforce this. P3C are working on 3D shape – links to games for this are on last week’s blog – and P3B and C are both working on tessellation (tiling) this week. Here is a wee online app to practise this (tablet-friendly). The important thing to remember with tessellation is that the shapes should form a regular pattern without gaps or overlapping. For example:
You should have received your child’s Science report today. Please return comments on these to school by this Friday (22nd June).
Next week, we will be sending home this year’s work. Please would you send in a large bag (a bag for life is ideal) with your child so that they can carry it. It may take a couple of loads so if it comes home full, please empty it and send it back in.
Here is this week’s Child Friendly Weekly Plan.
