At South Morningside our children are encouraged to take part in activities outside of the traditional school day. Below are some links to organisations who operate various clubs in our community.
The SMPC – South Morningside Parent Council run a range of clubs, organised by volunteer parents and taught by professional instructors, including sports, arts, musical instruments, languages and more. A full list of the clubs can be found on the parent council website.
‘Active Schools’ is a programme organised by the City of Edinburgh council, with most of the clubs taking place in the school building or grounds before and after school hours and during lunch time.
‘Active Schools‘ are offering such clubs as: Mini-kickers, Yoga, Street dancing, and many more. See their website for information & signing up, or contact our Active Schools coordinator Mr Tony Segall.
SJM Creative The South Morningside Stage Club is one of our most popular clubs, available for pupils of P6 and P7 classes. Lucky for us, the same creative team now run Drama clubs for pupils younger (from P1) and older (to S4) so the fun and excitement of being part of a stage production, together with the opportunity to learn so many wonderful skills, can be shared by more of our children.
