City of Edinburgh information on parental engagement and parent groups in schools can be found, respectively, at:

Through SMPC-run clubs (eg Judo, Guitar and Stage club) and events (such as school fairs, ceilidh, car boot sale and more) the SMPC not only strengthen the school family on a social level, but are also able to raise funds that are then used for enhancing and expanding the learning experiences of our children at SMPS.

In the 2015-16 session, parent-council funds supported the purchase of new state-of-the-art ICT equipment, library books and art supplies, Dance and Music workshops (‘Simon Says Dance’ and ‘Fischy Music’), Science workshops (‘Generation Science’), Scottish Opera workshop for P6, and more.
